吳秉祈1992年生於臺灣臺北，目前是英國曼徹斯特都會大學藝術創作博士候選人。她主要以繪畫、油畫、攝影、絲網版、數位和實體拼貼，以及裝置藝術進行藝術實踐。主題通常源自於全球化和新自由主義的自我意識，探索文化的相似性和差異性、國際流動性、政治地理、存在質疑等等。2023年於曼徹斯特都會大學的70 Oxford Street展覽空間辦理具空間實驗性質的拼貼個展「Those Spanned by the Collage / 拃」，並於同年榮獲世安文教基金會的「世安美學獎」造型藝術類藝術創作贊助。2019年於金車文教基金會的「金車美展」獲選，並於金車文藝中心的承德館辦理「水仙」個展。曾獲2024年義大利威尼斯「Arte Laguna Prize」拉古納藝術獎決選入圍，2024年英國「BSA Open Exhibition」巴斯藝術家協會公開徵件展裝裱獎，2024年義大利羅馬「Passepartout Photo Prize」路路通攝影獎精選入圍，2024年「臺灣美術新貌獎」入選，2022年「桃源美展」油畫類入選，2021年「高科大青年藝術家典藏徵件比賽」典藏獎，2018年「花蓮美術獎」西方媒材類和影像類雙料佳作等認可。
Bing-Chi Wu (b.1992) is a multimedia artist from Taiwan and a practice-based PhD candidate at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. She mainly works with drawing, painting, photography, screen-printing, digital and physical collage, and installation. Her themes often stem from globalisation and neoliberal self-awareness, exploring cultural similarities and differences, international mobility, political geography, questioning existence, and so on. The artist’s institutional solo exhibitions include: ‘Those Spanned by the Collage’, MMU - 70 Oxford Street, Manchester (2023) and ‘Narcissus’, King Car Cultural & Art Center - Chengde Hall, Taipei (2019).
