吳秉祈1992年生於臺灣臺北，目前是英國曼徹斯特都會大學藝術創作博士候選人。她主要以繪畫、油畫、攝影、絲網版、數位和實體拼貼，以及裝置藝術進行藝術實踐。主題通常源自於全球化和新自由主義的自我意識，探索文化的相似性和差異性、國際流動性、政治地理、存在質疑等等。2023年於曼徹斯特都會大學的70 Oxford Street展覽空間辦理具空間實驗性質的拼貼個展「Those Spanned by the Collage / 拃」，並於同年榮獲世安文教基金會的「世安美學獎」造型藝術類藝術創作贊助。2019年於金車文教基金會的「金車美展」獲選，並於金車文藝中心的承德館辦理「水仙」個展。曾獲2025、2024年義大利威尼斯「Arte Laguna Prize」拉古納藝術獎決選入圍，2025年美國洛杉磯攝影中心「Summertime Vintage」攝影比賽佳作，2024年英國「BSA Open Exhibition」巴斯藝術家協會公開徵件展裝裱獎，2024年義大利羅馬「Passepartout Photo Prize」路路通攝影獎精選入圍，2024年「臺灣美術新貌獎」入選，2022年「桃源美展」油畫類入選，2021年「高科大青年藝術家典藏徵件比賽」典藏獎，2018年「花蓮美術獎」西方媒材類和影像類雙料佳作等認可。
Bing-Chi Wu (b.1992) is a multimedia artist from Taiwan and a practice-based PhD candidate at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. She mainly works with drawing, painting, photography, screen-printing, digital and physical collage, and installation. Her themes often stem from globalisation and neoliberal self-awareness, exploring cultural similarities and differences, international mobility, political geography, questioning existence, and so on. Her research innovates collage methods in response to globalisation and neoliberal society. She aims to develop collage approaches that transcend tradition in the 21st century, perform new visual commentary, and provide an understanding of modernity in a postmodern context.
The artist’s institutional solo exhibitions include: ‘Re-Materialised Solitude’, MMU - Grosvenor Gallery, Manchester (2025), ‘Those Spanned by the Collage’, MMU - 70 Oxford Street, Manchester (2023) and ‘Narcissus’, King Car Cultural & Art Center - Chengde Hall, Taipei (2019).
